Climb aboard the amazing DG 500 M for the ride of your life. This aircraft is a stunning example of manâs ingenuity to build with style, grace and precision. This glider has been deemed the best looking lady in the sky and we couldn'tât agree more. She was built with the sole intention of soaring for as long as possible and with a 22-meter wingspan you can see why. In fact, the DG is rated as a competition glider and without a doubt one of our favourite aircraft in the hangar.

The DG has a retractable engine that assists us in getting off the ground but you wonât need it for very long. Once we have found your first thermal, the engine conveniently tucks itself away into the fuselage of the aircraft, giving us the best aerodynamics possible. The whispering wind is the only sound reminding you of being in a plane. We are now becoming the masters of the sky with the clouds as our nearest neighbours.

With this joy flight, after take off, we climb out to sea towards Byron Bay at 3500 feet. Once the engine is retracted, you will experience some of the most amazing flying youâve ever done or imagined, or will ever want to do. We leave that up to you.
